Why is Google's warning important?

Google says that this warning is not only for those who are directly targeted, but every Gmail user should be alert. The reason is that most people use Gmail IDs for banking, online shopping and social media logins. In such a situation, if the email account is hacked, then many serious problems can arise, from financial loss to private data leaks.

How two-step verification save?

Google recently said in its blog post that Shinoors are preparing to launch their data leak site (DLS) to further intensify the strategy for forced recovery. In view of this danger, the company had sent an email to several users on August 8 and advised them to increase the account security.

After putting a password on two-step verification, a secondary code has to be recorded to reach the account even after entering the password.

Increasing graph of cyber attacks

In the last few months, attacks like phishing and ransomware have seen a dangerous boom. Millions of users are victims of such cyber frauds every year. In such a situation, this alert from Google is considered a global warning. Experts say that users should not only change passwords but also keep distance from strong passwords, two-step verification and suspected email.
